Jade goody has lost her battle

British reality star Jade goody has lost her battle to cervical cancer, media has reported.

The mum of two, 27, who recently married boyfriend Jack Tweed, died in her sleep at her home in Essex, southeast England, her publicist Max Clifford said.

Goody was diagnosed with cancer in 2008 but the disease spread to her liver, groin and bowel and she was told it was terminal in February.

She was being treated at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London but wanted to die at home with her family, new husband and sons, Bobby, five, and Freddy, four.

Goody became famous after appearing on the Channel 4 show Big Brother.

Angelina Jolie is trying to shed 9.5kg in 21 days for a role in her new movie Salt.

In the film, the actress plays a CIA assassin called Evelyn Salt who is forced to disguise herself as a man.

The shooting of the film has started in Washington DC, where she has been seen running through the streets of the city wearing a blonde wig for the role.

“To play a man convincingly Angelina is adamant she needs to lose her curves,” News.com.au quoted a source, as saying.

According to reports, the 33-year-old started her detox three days before last month’’s Oscars and is already battling fatigue.

Jolie’ role was originally intended for Tom Cruise, but the character was rewritten after he dropped out.

Avril Lavigne to launch first fragrance

Pop star Avril Lavigne is to unveil her debut fragrance Black Star, as the first edition of her planned cosmetics empire.

Contactmusic.com reports that the singer recently signed a major deal with beauty company Procter & Gamble to produce a new toiletries line, including perfume, aftershave, bath oil, bath soap, shower gel, body shampoo and body lotion.

“I’m travelling to London next week where I’m about to announce my latest project…my very first fragrance. I’m really excited and can’t wait to share it with you,” she posted on her official website.

Hollywood actress Charlize Theron is keen to learn Spanish, after she learnt to abuse in the language while filming her forthcoming flick.

The That Thing You Do actress was taught a few swear words by Mexican director Guillermo Arriaga, while they were filming the The Burning Plain together.

Theron is now said to be desperate to learn the language, and pick up some basic phrases in the language.

"I'm really embarrassed to say that I don't speak Spanish. I've lived in California for eight years and I just think it should be a prerequisite, you should be able to speak Spanish if you live in California", Contactmusic quoted her as saying.

Singer Faith Hill has praised Jennifer Hudson for choosing the Super Bowl for returning to the spotlight after her family tragedy.

Rihanna is reportedly contemplating purchasing property in the UK so as to set herself a home close to her recording label.

The singer had already sent her team to be on the look out for pads in London's most expensive district - Kensington and Chelsea.

"Rihanna's looking for a UK base close to her record label HQ," a news daily quoted a source as saying.

Vogue editor Anna Wintour considered British actress Sienna Miller for the cover page but felt that the actress is too “toothy” and staff were worried she had “too many fillings” and “unruly hair”.

Mirror.co.uk reports that these claims were revealed in a behind-the-scenes documentary. The documentary also shows how Miller was airbrushed for the shoot back in 2007 with reputed photographer Mario Testino. They took one photo of her and super-imposed it on a separate picture of her body.

Sushmita plans to return in flim with a bang

The former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen, who has been in and out of films, now plans to return with a bang with three back to back film releases this year. She admits that the year 2008 has been a bad phase in her life.

The actress was last seen in the character of a widow in Ram Gopal Varma's box office disaster "Aag." This year Sen would be seen in "Do Knot Disturb" which also marks the return of Dhawan-Govinda together, "Dulha Mil Gaya" by Mudassar Aziz and her much awaited Hollywood debut with Naomi Campbell and former boyfriend Randeep Hooda "Karma and Holi".

Rocker Jamie Hince has splashed out thousands on a string of gifts for his girlfriend Kate Moss' birthday and that includes a special gift - 30,000-pound graffiti.

According to thesun.co.uk, Hince has commissioned two works by Parisian artist Andre aka Monsieur A. The artiste, who owns two Paris nightclubs, is set to fly to the Britain in the next two weeks to work on the piece in Moss' house.

One design will be her name and another will be an abstract portrait of her.
